OF ELDERS, PENISES AND VIOLENCE

Man-made problems unveiled yet again
in the stream of our once cultured society
where integrity isn’t fed to the unruly
Praises aren’t ferried to the corrupt

Thieves abound in most spheres of our nationhood
With the spiritual attributes of angels
And the physical qualities of the wicked
with a known history of non-repentance

 Alas! Fleshy rods have risen with great vigour and tenacity
penises are acting like guns of pleasure
not minding to kill
whoever’s frail and innocent

In our midst are elders
with high libido of immorality
wrenching young minds from glorious future,
Putting dents of trauma on their visions and destinies

In our terrain are grown men
with white hairs of exploitation
deceiving innocent children -making them sudden mothers,
desecrating the purity of the cherries between their legs

The young have also been inflicted with these pangs of ignorance
beating drums of sexual and gender violence
With remarkable sense of insanity
Who shall save us?
