JEALOUSY..by D'Ola

JEALOUSY

The craze of jealousy
is sometimes the spice of life
On a normal day – it proves love
but when canopied with distrust–you had better run
Else you might be driven barmy

Jealousy can sometimes be a king
ruling in people’s minds
Tending towards suspiciousness
as the way you relate with people is a suspect,
Same goes for your looks or gazes

Jealousy can be a way of life
it carries the eyes of covetousness
It worships the gods of greed
it tinkers with the rage of excitement
To an extent nonequivalent of gentlemanliness

Jealousy wears the pride of a queen
ravaging people in the kingdom of its misdeeds
With the beauty of its ignorance,
and the shame of its mummified anger,
Uglifying the crown of its good intentions

Jealous whispers into people’s ears
the failure of an intended project,
It washes people’s thoughts in the Jacuzzi of pessimism
it brings out the worst from the rotten
Always quizzical of survival before birth

Jealousy could be strings of eyes
glued to people’s clothes
Always at the mercy of weather and time
the more it peeps through the defects of  these clothes
the less it sees the secret of success

Jealousy is a reflection of innocence,
a failure of the heart to govern
The arms of judgments and understanding
within the precinct of its numinous ability
A sorry case it would be eventually!
